Dance Academy in Hampton, VA. As she moved with her family around the<br />
world, she began to explore the worlds of drama, ballet, tap, jazz,<br />
modern and worship dance. Christy continued her formal, fine arts<br />
training for 16 years under such figures as Lisa Loree-Kraiger, Patricia<br />
Hoffman, Holly Marble, Victoria Page, Brian Pitts, Laura Flagg-Pitts,<br />
Robert Sher-Machherndl, Lawrence Jackson and Lindsay Fisher.  Her recent<br />
work includes original choreography for Patrick Henry College’s Peter<br />
Pan, and principle roles with the Colorado Springs Youth Ballet in<br />
collaboration with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra. She<br />
graduated from Patrick Henry College in 2009 with a Bachelors of<br />
Classical Liberal Arts and Education and currently teaches at Trinity<br />
Christian School in Fairfax, VA. After teaching dance in Colorado and<br />
Northern Virginia for seven years, Christy joined the teaching staff at<br />
Russell School of Ballet for their 2010-2011 season.</p>

Everyone enjoyed the after performance parties and social. Thank you to all who gave of their time and energy in helping to make the day truly eventful.

<p>Leslee Gearhart is a graduate of Washington Academy of Ballet, Florida Southern College, former professional dancer with Washington Ballet Company, Harkness Ballet Company New York City, and National Ballet Company Washington DC. She trained with many renowned teachers, Mary Day, Leslie Edwards, Maria Nevelska, Leon Fokine, Asaf Messerer, Vera Volkova, Frederick Franklin, Alexandra Danilova, George Skibine,  Alvin Ailey. Leslee began teaching in Florida and joined Dance Masters of America and Professional Dance Teachers Association. Leslee has promoted dance and cultural arts in the Manassas community where her students have successfully gone on to professional dance, art and stage careers.</p>

While at Penn State she performed as a member of Orchesis Dance Company and Dancescape Theater, a student company in affiliation with Allied Motion Modern Dance Company. As a member and president of Orchesis, Sarah had the opportunity to choreograph and perform in many student showcases including the American College Dance Festival at the University of Buffalo and in the PSU 48 hour Dance Marathon in partnership with the Four Diamonds Fund for cancer research. After graduation she came to Virginia where she began taking classes at the Russell School of Ballet. When not dancing Sarah teaches fourth grade in Prince William County and has begun graduate school towards her Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy. Sarah joined the staff in January of 2004 and has choreographed numerous dance numbers for the Fairfax Ballet Jazz, Tap and Modern Dance Revues.</p>

<p>AMY ROSSI graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a minor in dance. While in college she danced with the Orchesis Dance Company for three years, serving one year as the president of the company. She also had the opportunity to choreograph for one of the concerts, and her choreography was then presented at the American College Dance Festival in Long Beach, California. While living in San Luis Obispo, California, she taught as a guest teacher at the University and also at a local studio, InMotion. While not in the studio, she works for AOL. Amy has been on staff at the Russell School of Ballet for nine years. Amy has choreographed numerous dance numbers for the Fairfax Ballet Jazz, Tap and Modern Dance Revues.</p>

<p><strong>HOLLI TIPPL</strong> is from a family of performers and started dancing and playing music at a young age. She performed in musicals throughout high school and college where she had the opportunity to use her dance skills. Holli has taught dance and studied for three years at The Dance Factory in Melbourne, Australia, where she received an elementary jazz teaching level certificate. Following a career in pediatric nursing, Holli returned to dance 4 years ago and continues to enjoy performing and choreographing for childrens’ productions. Holli loves working with children and is excited about sharing her passion for dance with them! Holli has choreographed numerous dance numbers for the Fairfax Ballet Jazz, Tap and Modern Dance Revues.</p>
